Skyfarer Cloud

Cloud, DevOps & AI-infrastructure engineer

I’m Jeremy. I spend my career on the operations side of software: building infrastructure that’s reliable, automated, and increasingly aimed at running AI privately instead of sending data to a third party.

What I Do

Cloud & DevOps — Architecture, migrations, and deployment automation on AWS and IBM Cloud: Docker, Ansible, CI/CD, infrastructure as code.

AI Infrastructure — Self-hosted AI, local LLM deployment (Ollama, llama.cpp, vLLM), workflow automation, and sizing the GPU/hardware underneath it.

Solution Architecture — Scoping a problem, designing the system, and presenting it to the people who have to sign off on it and live with it.

Where I’ve Been

I’ve spent 25+ years on the operations side of software, the last 17 running a Linux virtual data center for a Fortune 500 PMO, rebuilt from scratch three times across three cloud platforms for enterprise customers in retail, finance, automotive, and the public sector, with zero business-visible downtime on any of the cutovers. Before that, I co-founded and ran technology for Rocket Health, a diabetes healthcare startup, through its acquisition.

What I’m experimenting with now: practical, numbers-backed experiments in private AI, sizing local models on small hardware, wiring LLMs into home and ops automation, AI-assisted infrastructure management.

Right Now

I’m looking for my next role: cloud/DevOps engineering, solutions architecture, or sales engineering, ideally where that overlaps with self-hosted AI infrastructure. Find me on LinkedIn or reach out at jeremy.walworth@proton.me

When I’m not working, you’ll find me flying my single engine 4-seat airplane or tinkering with microcontrollers. I also share my photography and occasionally write about projects here on my blog.
